This simple disc can do so much! To keep DVT (deep vein thrombosis) at bay, pop it into your hand luggage to use on the plane. For rehabilitation after injury, you can stand, sit or lie down. Or use daily as part of a routine to improve blood circulation in the lower leg.
DVT
Place the cushioned insert onto the Leg Exerciser, and put your heel in the central cup-shaped depression. The disc slides across the floor as you move your foot, making exercise much easier for weak, painful or recuperating legs. And it's ideal for avoiding DVT while travelling on long journeys.
Blood Circulation
The Leg Exerciser aids joint mobility, muscle tone, range of motion and blood circulation, all vital for older patients or those with limited mobility or who spend a lot of time in bed or lying down.
British Inventor
Invented by Philip Hankin, who had a knee replacement and was unimpressed by the limitations of the physiotherapy he needed, the Ortho Glide Leg Exerciser is becoming increasingly popular in the NHS as an aid to recovery, for prevention of DVT, and many other applications.
Please note: if using the disc while standing, ensure you are holding onto a firm support. Do not stand with your weight on the disc in case you slip.
