Ingrown toenails are painful and even immobilising. Men are more susceptible than women, probably because they don't let their feet out for fresh air so often - and also because the chaps are more inclined to dig about under their nails!

Quality Steel
Usually seen in the big toe, an ingrown nail is often the result of bad nail trimming. Tight shoes and damp sweaty feet don't help either. These sharp stainless steel Toenail Clippers are specially designed to cut your toenails properly, so you don't cause the problem in the first place. Correct trimming will also help alleviate an existing condition.

Leaf Spring Action
The large pair of Toenail Clippers has a leaf spring action: easier for arthritic or weak fingers to operate. These also feature a safety lock to keep the jaws closed when not in use. The smaller clippers use the reverse-handle design to give leverage, and are angled for easy access to your smaller toes. Both come with a handy storage pack and have a lifetime guarantee.

Info & Tips
An ingrown toenail occurs when the edge or corner of the nail, usually on the big toe, grows down into the flesh at the side of the toe. This inflames the skin, causing redness, swelling and pain, and if untreated often results in infection. Ingrown toenails can be hereditary, due to the way you stand or walk, as well as the way the nail grows.

Cut toenails straight across the top, don't cut the corners off, and don't cut them too short. Don't cut or poke around the sides. Don't use a metal nail file, as this can cause nails to flake, so use an emery board to take off rough edges. Do keep your feet dry and clean, changing socks every day and avoiding damp, sweaty shoes. And let shoes dry and air out after every use.
